i used to volunteer for ootc. since august i’ve been the webguy. tonight i was elected to the board. i’ve learned that:

  • people are sleeping under bridges, even in winter
  • ootc has a safety and respect policy, but some orgs are way more stringent
  • people are incredibly generous and see a need
  • i know we need to stop homelessness, but in the meantime there aren’t enough beds, during the winter or year-round
  • some people are lost and need to know what’s out there, what’s the big picture?

  1. The OoTC program is vital to so many. I just learned of another single dad and his son living off $160/month. Thank you Peter, thank you everyone who supports those that are vulnerable and under the radar.
