boddhicitta–‘the union of compassion [heart] and wisdom [mind]’, the journey between the two [awakening the buddha within]

the union of compassion and wisdom

buddha within, hunger without

if i were destitute i would perhaps care more selfishly for my physical needs, like water, food, and warmth–but i’m not, so i’m free–or think i am–to seek the buddha within–or not seek–it’s a free country

put that way, buddhism isn’t any different from social justice

i choose boddhicitta and boddhisatva. actually, there’s little choice, for that’s kinda who i am, or becoming

awakening the buddha within
